The maker of this app, Jan Myhre, is a professional guide and instructor from Norway, who devotes his life to the fly cast, and has done so through many years. Everything in this app is done by his own hand. That was possible because of his background from the IT-business, amongst others.
Fly Cast Companion is developed as a humble helper for those seeking to be an even better fly caster.
It presents thoughtful video animations, text and images for all levels; beginner, moderate and advanced. You will find animations showing both one- and two-handed, different overhand techniques, and water based casts.
The observer activity lets you evaluate your friend or course participant.
A notebook for your own stuff.
A simple simulator for rod rotation awareness (using phone built-in sensors where available).
